We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful civil war era flame mahogany shapely hand carved cutout ladies needlepoint desk chair with dainty cabriole legs in the front with a hand carved open hand hold crest on the shapely balloon back. The chair has flame mahogany and straight mahogany. It is all hand carved. It has the old needlepoint seat covering that I don’t believe is as old as the chair. The chair dates from the 1860s and I believe this needlepoint is from the 1920s. The needlepoint has a maroon background with a floral print that I believe are tulips in the center. The overall size is 18 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 34 inches high to the hand carved crest and 19 inches high to the seat.
