SOLD Mahogany Round Banquet Dining Table - Victorian Age
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful 54 inch round mahogany dining room table with four table leaves that are 11 inches wide. When the table leaves are installed, the table becomes 8 feet long! It has a split pedestal base and a center leg for support. It has a very unusual bulbous base on the base, so please look at the pictures. The claw feet are very detailed and it is a most unusual type table. Another unusual quality of this table is a rolled skirt, which is very unusual for mahogany, which means the skirt is like a half round instead of the normal flat or indented skirt. The table dates from the 1890s and is in a brownish mahogany stain finish, which I am not sure if it is original or not. This table would be gorgeous in a reddish brown stain mahogany finish and we do offer our restoration services to our customers, so please contact us for a quote if you desire having this table restored. The table is 54 inches round, 30 inches high to the table top and 26.5 inches high to the bottom of the skirt. The base splits as you open the table and reveals a center leg for additional support as the table accommodates your guests. It has a small gouge on top where someone transporting it wasn't careful. We will touch it up and color it in so that it is not as noticeable prior to delivery. Shipping starts at $345.00 for a driveway delivery in our standard area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are in our standard area.
