We are pleased to be offering today one of the fancier Victorian civil war era pierce carved Rococo style gentleman’s arm chairs from the 1860s era.  It came out of an estate in New York City.  It is fantastic with the original old fabric that is in good usable condition.  The seat sags a little bit, but nothing drastic.  The chair itself is unbelievable.  It is oversize.  The top crest is 9 inches high!  It has some roughness where there are some cracks where they put the old time metal brace on the backside of the crest that makes it all tight and sturdy, but it was an odd way of fixing something.  The crest is pretty much all there with just some tiny tips off.  It is carved all over the arms, knuckle arms, back, front skirt, cabriole legs and every where.  The overall size is 29 inches wide, 24 inches deep, 51 inches high, 24 inches high to the arm and 16 inches high to the seat.  It is a great chair with minor flaws.  Shipping starts at $325 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.  Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
