Dating from the late 20th century, this piece is an American benchmade reproduction. The rectangular top with demilune ends, profusely decorated with a central mahogany musical themed trophy group of mandolin, Pan’s pipe and woodwind instruments ribbon tied amidst a spray of oak leaves flanked by bow tied clusters of lily of the valley sprigs and flowering branches. All on an ebonized ground within rosewood borders. The shaped side panels of geometric floral latticework centering floral rondels. A wide gilt metal band of guilloches along the edges. The conforming apron with burl walnut panels and rosettes. The apron is fitted with a single long drawer on one side. The table is raised on block and turned square tapering legs joined to a yoked stretcher with galleried finial at the center.
