SOLD French Carved Decorated Ottoman Foot Stool Hassock
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful oversized French carved Victorian style round ottoman that dates from the 1950s to 1960s. It came out of an estate on the coast of Massachusetts along with a beautiful match pair of night stands (please check to see if they are still available) that match this ottoman. It has an antique pink fabric on it and it appears old, so I am guessing it is supposed to look that way and have a couple of small stains on top. It has a carved antique beige with gold highlight carved trim foot round pedestal base and it has a lift top for plenty of storage. I would imagine that you would want to reupholster this as there are a couple of stains on top, but there are no rips or tears. When you lift the cover, the storage cavity is 16 inches round and 6 inches high. This allows ample storage for remotes, magazines, games and more. The top is a pretty thick cushion that is comfortable and is approximately 4 inches thick. The outside dimension is 22 inches round by 17.5 inches high. Other than the stains on top, the rest of this beautiful Ottoman is in good condition. I would strongly recommend reupholstering as it would look lovely in a crush velour style fabric.
