We’re happy to be offering this gorgeous solid walnut or mahogany stained lawyers/bankers arm chair that probably dates from the 1930s. It’s a very desirable chair, of high quality, and can be put anywhere in your house without having to worry that anyone’s ever going to ruin it by sitting in it or rocking back and forth because of its amazing sturdiness. It’s of all solid wood construction, in the old finish that shows numerous little surface scratches here and there that gives it a lot of charm and character. It has a typical reverse curve cross-stretcher that keeps the four legs tight and sturdy, and a wraparound back. These are the most comfortable chairs, so they would work as well as a boudoir chair as an office chair! The overall size is 20 inches wide, across the arms is 23 inches wide. It is 19 inches deep from front to back, and 32 inches high on the curved back, and the seat is 18 inches high. It’s most likely a mahogany stained dark brown walnut, but there are some wide grains in there that make it a little confusing. It’s a good, tight, sturdy antique chair.
