This is a burl walnut with walnut wooden trim on top marble top parlor stand, from the Victorian era of the 1870s-‘80s. It has Jenny Lind heads on all four sides, and one had to be repaired because of damage. The burl walnut had some touchups here and there to make sure it’s all good, and the finish is so unique that we basically just had to polish it. Take a look at it: It’s got that gorgeous rose quartz colored marble on top, then the burl walnut trim sits on top of it, with all its intricate angles, bevels, edges and all. Then there is the burl trim on the skirt, which is 2 inches wide, with little Jenny Lind heads on all four sides, which are 2.25 inches high. Then, on the bottom, there is a double dip center finial that always amazes me, and it has solid walnut turned spindle posts on the outside with incise carving throughout, and carved legs right down to the burl walnut feet and trim. The overall size is 36 inches wide, 21 inches deep, and 30.5 inches tall. If you want nice Victorian, this is your piece, and it’s getting harder and harder to find!
