This stunning Victorian tall chest of drawers sold by the Larkin Soap Company dates from the 1890s to 1910s and offers incredible decorative and functional appeal. Crafted from richly grained tiger sawn oak in a warm medium brown finish, it features five deeply carved drawer fronts adorned with scrolling acanthus-leaf details. The upper section is crowned with a removable backsplash topped by a carved shell and scroll crest, adding architectural height and style.
Each drawer front is fitted with its original decorative keyhole escutcheons and a mix of original and replaced drawer pulls. The top three drawers retain their original hand-pulls with a beautiful aged patina. Paneled sides elevate the overall quality of the piece, showcasing the craftsmanship typical of the period.
