We are pleased to be offering today this most unusual item as displayed in this solid tiger sawn oak bench that dates from the 1890s in original dark oak finish. It is a very unusual item showing two men carved in relief of the bench with the left-hand man smoking a pipe and the right-hand man smoking a cigar. They are carved in detail. It has a flared multi-turn leg base with multi-turn cross spindle cross stretchers that join the base together. The back has a couple of lamination seams that came be seen in the photos which have nothing to do with the structure, but I wanted you to be aware of it. There is a small crack on the arm and some staining on the seat. It is a stout and sturdy bench that measures 47 inches wide across the arms, 19 inches deep on the seat, 39 inches high to the top of the back, 28 inches high to the arms and 18 inches high to the seat. It is a great conversation piece for a man cave, smoking room, den, etc. Shipping starts at $265 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
