This is a very, very difficult and rare item to find in the antique world: This is a true Victorian solid black walnut dining table dating from the 1870s era, in immaculate, unbelievable go-right-into-the-show room condition banquet table that opens up to measure 138 inches long with the custom leaves made by our cabinet shop. The cabinet man, Mike, is very meticulous, and he took the time to skirt and match the molding on the table leaves, so when you look at it, it looks like a solid wall. The table base has raised panels, multi-grooves, carvings all over the place, and a center leg. It’s been stripped, sanded, stained, and our refinisher, Norm, has applied several coats of satin sheen lacquer. When the table is closed, it measures 48 inches round, and 29 inches high. As you put in the six 15-inch leaves, including the two original ones that came with the table, it can go up to 138 inches.
