We are pleased to be offering this beautiful mahogany barley twist brass and wooden ball parlor hall table made by the Merklen Brothers in NYC between 1879 and 1897. It is a beautiful table in a gorgeous finish, appearing to have been refinished a long time ago, and is showing minor nicks and dings.  The overall size is 37 inches long, 21 inches deep and 30.5 inches high.  The bottom shelf is 9 inches high.  The barley twist posts are 5.5 inches thick shows the quality of this table.  It has gadroon or rope braiding at the top and underneath are notching and spool heavy bold molding.  It sits upon beautiful barley twist or rope turned center posts that go into a shapely bevel edge bottom stand that terminates in the traditional Hunzinger brass talon and wooden ball foot. These stands are getting tough to find and we also purchased another one out of the same home, so check our other items.  Shipping starts at $245 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.  Outside New England it will change, so please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for outside of New England for shipping.
