SOLD Antique Standing Griffin Carved Banquet Table – 175” - Horner

We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful tiger sawn oak professionally restored and refinished standing winged griffin double claw foot carved top 60-inch round dining room table that dates from the 1890s and is most likely a Horner table. We believe it is most likely a Horner table is that we have had this Horner dining room set before with the same standing griffins and top that are documented in auctions where it sold for $8700 plus buyer’s premium two years ago. We have brought this table into our professional restoration shop where we have sanded, stained a dark oak color and applied multiple coats of hand rubber lacquer for years of carefree use. The table is 60 inches round and 30 inches high. The height to the bottom of the skirt is 27 inches high. It comes with a massive split pedestal base with a fancy turn center leg when the table is fully extended. The table comes with two leaves but will take many more. If you desire extra leaves, please contact us for a quote. Take time to look at the numerous photos to see the detail of the winged griffins and toenail platform base. The griffins are approximately 18 inches high with wings intact. There was some veneer roughness on the base, which we replaced but you would never know.
