This impressive antique round mahogany banquet table dates from the 1890s and retains its rich original finish and all six of its factory extension leaves. Measuring 52 inches in diameter when closed, the table expands dramatically to accommodate large gatherings while maintaining the elegant proportions and craftsmanship that made these banquet tables so desirable in the Victorian era.

Constructed of solid mahogany with a beautiful dark reddish-brown finish, the table features a substantial three-piece pedestal base with a multi-turned center column and deeply carved claw feet. The quality of the carving is exceptional, with well-defined details extending right down to the toenails. As the table is expanded, the pedestal separates and incorporates a center support leg, providing excellent stability even at its maximum length.

All six original 8-inch leaves are present, allowing the table to grow from an intimate round dining table into a large banquet-size surface suitable for entertaining family and guests. Very good antique condition with a well-preserved original finish. Expected wear, marks, and minor imperfections are present consistent with a piece that is approximately 135 years old. A small piece of molding measuring approximately 2 inches is missing and will be professionally repaired prior to shipment. Overall, this is a remarkably well-preserved example with outstanding color, grain, and craftsmanship.
