SOLD Antique Poster Beds, Pair of Mahogany Pineapple Poster Beds
This beautiful pair of mahogany pineapple poster beds date from the 1940s in restored condition. Restored means that an item has had surface scratches sanded down, stained and re-sprayed with lacquer. This pair of Antique best are fantastic, with wonderful grains in the shields. The inside dimensions of the beds for mattress purposes are 76 inches long and 39 inches wide, which will take a modern-day box spring and mattress. The outside dimensions are 42 inches wide, 35 inches high on the footboard post, 30 inches high on the footboard shield, 44 inches high on the headboard post and 39 inches high on the headboard shield. They have fluted columns, pineapple carved finials, and a Duncan phyfe style roll top or a sleigh bed style. These antique beds come with the original rails and the box spring, and sit down on the boards inside of the side rails. There are no cross supports for these types of beds. Shipping starts at $325 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges.
