We are pleased to offer this Antique Four-Drawer File Cabinet, made by the Library Bureau Sole Makers, dating from the 1890s. Crafted from tiger sawn oak, this piece has been refinished some years ago and shows light wear consistent with age and use.

This is a standard-size cabinet, finished on all sides, making it suitable for placement anywhere in a room—not just against a wall. It features the original index card holders and metal drawer pulls, along with a brass oval tag on the top, suggesting it was once used in a government or institutional setting.

Features:
• Solid Tiger Sawn Oak Throughout:
• Rich, visible grain pattern adds classic style and depth
• Warm golden finish with character and patina
• Fully Finished on All Sides:
• Rare for its time, allowing for center-of-room placement
• Original Hardware:
• Metal handles and index card holders on each drawer
• No rods inside drawers (no longer necessary for modern use)
• Brass Oval Tag:
• Mounted on the top—likely from a government office or archive
• Refinished Condition:
• Refinished years ago and still retains a clean and attractive look
• Some surface wear on the top, consistent with its age

Dimensions:
• Width: 17.5 inches
• Depth: 27 inches
• Height: 52 inches

This cabinet is both functional and collectible, offering vintage charm while serving practical filing or storage needs. Whether in a home office, library, or study, this is a standout piece of early American office furniture from one of the most respected makers of the era.
