This antique file cabinet features eight legal size drawers and solid tiger sawn oak. Dating from the turn of the century (1890s to 1900s) this antique lawyers/bankers file cabinet system maintains its old finish. We offer full restoration refinishing, and this antique file cabinet is a great candidate, as the tiger sawn grains would jump out at you once newly finished. This cabinet has the original hardware and that includes all but one of the rod knobs. A legal-size drawer is much larger, being 15 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 10.75 inches on the drawer face. The outside of the drawer face is 17.5 inches wide by 11.5 inches tall. The file cabinet itself is 40 inches wide, 27 inches deep and 52 inches high. The beautiful thing about these is that they are finished on the back as it can be used as a room divider. When this cabinet gets refinished and the tiger sawn oak shines, it will be a stunning room divider. This finish is 125 years or so old showing minor nicks and dings along with the normal wear marks on top where things sat over the years.
