This antique china cabinet features tiger sawn oak construction, carved backsplash crest, two carved glass doors, two carved drawers, three shelves and glass sides. This piece is very attractive, and could be used as either a china closet, which is its original purpose, or it can be used as a bookcase. It has the look of a nice oak bookcase, but you can tell it’s originally intended as a cabinet because it has glass sides and plate grooves on the three shelves.
Dating from the 1890s, this antique china closet is in a dark oak finish and looks great as is, but it would be absolutely spectacular completely refinished. Let us know if you would like a quote for that. It comes with three original shelves, which are fully adjustable.
The overall size is 49 inches wide, 19 inches deep at the widest part, at the base, it measures 73 inches tall to the very top and the shelves are 45 1/2 inches wide and 14 inches deep.
