SOLD Antique Hall Table, Victorian Oak Gothic Style Parlor Sofa Table w/Drawer

Every day in this business I am amazed when I find an unusual piece that I haven’t seen before.  It doesn’t have to be some over the top carved piece by Horner or a big name like that, but something smaller and subtle like this beautiful antique sofa table / hall table. Dating from the 1890s in original condition, at first I thought this was a gothic style table, but it has diamond point molding on it and an angel face on the dovetail drawer. This is a piece of high-quality oak furniture from the turn of the century.  It is in the original finish.  It has eight posts on the frame, which is stylish and has bun feet on the solid bottom rectangular frame.  This antique sofa table has pierce carving that is in good condition with dainty acorn shaped bottom finials that go around the table.  It has diamond point blocks on all the corners.  It has gothic style bracing that joins the top of the legs to the frame and a wonderful angel wing face.  Look at the grain on the dark oak finish!  The overall size is 40 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 33 inches high.  The size of the block front drawer is 14.5 inches wide, 13.5 inches deep and 3 inches high.  It is a fantastic table that would make a great tv stand.  It has an ogee bevel edge top. The overall condition is great showing some minor wear.  Shipping starts at $245 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
