This antique dining room table is remarkable! Dating from 1880s, this antique dining table is constructed of solid tiger sawn oak, and features a really nice carved skirt around the edge of the table that features scrolled leaves around the entire skirt. The base of this antique oak table is a three-piece column base with four intricately carved legs that each feature a detailed lion's head. The carved legs terminate in desirable, large lion-paw claw feet - take a look at the photos to see how nice the carvings are; even the toenails are carved into the paw feet!

Set on casters for ease of movement, this antique dining table measures 54 inches in diameter and opens to 122 inches total. This table comes with three 16-inch leaves that were constructed by a previous owner out of off wood and a single tiger sawn oak 20” leaf. The table is 29 inches from the floor to the table top.

This table remains in very good original condition with the normal nicks and dings that you would see from an antique over 130 years of age. There are a couple of wear marks on the top that look like maybe somebody set a glass down and there’s a chip out of the base that we will repair before shipping to you, just remind us at the time of sale. None of these detract from the beauty of this absolutely stunning original Victorian oak lionhead table.

Some people love an original finish, and this table will not disappoint as it remains in very good condition, but if you prefer to have a refinished table, we will be happy to obtain you a quote for a professional restoration in our workshop. Just drop us a note to let us know!
