This set of 9 Oak Dining Room Chairs is a very hard to find set. This set of tiger sawn oak dining chairs consists of one master armchair and eight really nice tall side chairs, and features the old original needlepoint seat covering that is decent on half of the chairs and the other half have wear marks. Most people would probably replace the fabric which can easily be done by popping out the seats, and replacing the seat with only four screws. These solid tiger sawn oak dining chairs date from the early 1900’s, and remain in the original, as found condition. It has the original varnish, and the finish is in good condition except for one light upholstered seat chair that has a lot of the finish worn off the back. The rest of the chairs are in a darker oak stain finish that is nice for 120 years old. They have a queen anne style back, big extra wide center splat that shapes to the contour of your back, flared back leg, tapered front legs, side stretcher and solid oak construction throughout. These chairs were most likely sold by a better furniture company back in the day such as Paine. The overall size of the side chairs are 18 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 19.5 inches high to the seat, and 40 inches high to the chair back. The armchair is 20 inches wide across the seat, 19 inches deep, 20 inches high to the seat, 24 inches wide across the arms and 40 inches high to the chair back. You are getting all nine chairs for one money. Shipping starts at $345 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges.
