SOLD Antique Dining Room Chairs / 12 Queen Anne Style Dining Chairs

This attractive set of antique dining room chairs consists of two arm chairs and ten side chairs. In the Queen Anne style, these chairs are in their original condition, and date from the 1890s. This really nice quality set, the seats have been reupholstered at one point in a nice red satin fabric with gold accents

Aside from the normal nicks & dings, which is to be expected in a set of antique chairs this age, these are in fantastic original condition, and feature flared back leg, Chippendale Queen Anne style cabriole front leg, molded backs for comfort, and charming carved tops. One rear leg had a small repair performed which we will detail out before shipping.

A great looking set! The side chairs measure 19 inches across seat, 17 inches deep, 19.5 inches to the seat, and 41 inches to the top of the back. The two arm chairs measure 20 inches across the seat, 25 inches wide across the arms which is the widest point of the chair, 18 inches deep from front to back, and the seats are 19 1/2 inches high on the arm chairs as well, 42 inches high to the top of the backs, and the height to the arm from the floor is 28 inches.

These chairs are all tight and sturdy, and actually believe they feature peg construction, which leads me to believe they might be of European descent. They’re all solid brown mahogany, with peg construction, which means pegs are utilized in the joints to contribute to additional sturdiness in the chairs.
