SOLD Antique Chest of Drawers, Antique Carved Victorian Triple Drawer Bachelor Chest

We are pleased to be offering this three drawer Victorian race track molded flame mahogany front carved pillar marble top bachelor chest to you today. Dating from the 1870s to 1880s, it came right out of a home in the St. Louis area. These chests are getting tough to find. This one has a fantastic mahogany and walnut frame base, flame mahogany veneer across the fronts of all three hand-cut dovetail drawers, race track molded drawers, hand carved walnut escutcheons in each center.  The bottom drawer unfortunately is missing the left-hand carved handle, but I believe you can easily find them online. The right-hand side is a bit damaged.  I would say you need two handles to make this perfect.  There are a few veneer chips on the base that I wanted to mention even though they are no big deal. The top is awesome with the center splat being 12 inches tall.  It has a shapely ogee bevel edge top white and gray grained marble with a backsplash.  The top does show a line in it that most likely cracked when someone sat it down to hard.  It has not cracked, but it does show the line.  I think you can remove the dirt in the line, and it would probably blend back in.  The overall size is 31 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 29 inches high to the top of the marble and 41 inches high to the top of the backsplash.  It is a great little bachelor chest.  Some people use these for nightstand in Victorian bedroom sets.  Shipping starts at $245 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
