We are pleased to be offering this wonderful flame mahogany tall chest to you today. Dating from the the 1940s, this chest is beautiful and well made, by the Ebert Furniture Company out of Red Line, Pennsylvania, a company well known for their quality goods. This chest came from a local estate auction in Fall River, Massachusetts and was sold from the original owner. This is an extra tall high quality block front tall chest that features beautiful flame mahogany, and retains the original cast brass hardware. There is a little leather brass embossed panel insert on the tall chest itself, which completes the formal aesthetic. The overall size of the tall chest is 39 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 54 inches high. We have re-sprayed the top to remove all the nicks and dings and the rest was professionally cleaned with the appropriate restorative oils. The overall condition is great with only very minor nicks and dings that come with age. The tall chest has two serpentine block front dovetail drawers on top, with a molded break in the center, and four serpentine drawers on the base. It is finished with an applied multi-beveled edge baseboard. We would like to note that between the top and bottom drawers, on the center edge, there are numerous nicks and dings as that particular drawer appears to have been used heavily. The finish on the chest is reddish brown mahogany. The overall condition is nice as is. You are purchasing an original finish, as found, tall chest for one money. We have refinished top on the chest and the original finish on the rest showing just minor nicks and dings. It will cost $285.00 to ship the chest within our normal shipping area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are within our normal area. Please check our other listings as we are always offering high quality stylish goods of yesteryear.
