This beautiful antique dining room table dates from the Victorian era, and is heavily carved with tiger sawn oak construction. This antique banquet table dates from the 1890s, and is right out of a home on the coast of Maine. The table is 54 inches round and 30 inches high. It comes with six leaves that are each 11 inches wide. This antique dining table opens to 120 inches (10 feet!) when all six leaves are inserted. The table is solid tiger sawn oak with a gadroon edge on the tabletop and on the leaves. It has an extra-large thick split pedestal claw foot base with acanthus carved leaves on all four legs and a ribbed bulbous center column. When the table opens to install the leaves, the pedestal base reveals a center column for added strength. The table has the normal nicks and dings on the top you would see with any normal antique dining table, and it probably could use a re-spray on the top as there is a spot where a placemat must have been as it is a bit shinier than the rest. If you are interested in re-spraying the top or even a complete refinishing, please contact us for a quote. This table came with a matching set of 12 tiger sawn oak claw foot chairs that will be listed separately. Please check to see if the chairs are still available if you are looking for a set. Shipping starts at $395 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges.
