This charming Victorian marble top parlor stand dates from the 1880s and features a beautifully carved solid mahogany base and a graceful white & grey turtle-shaped marble top. It’s the perfect size to tuck into a corner, hallway, or beside a favorite chair, and it's got all the character you expect from a 140-year-old piece.
Recently refinished by the previous owner, the base is rich and clean, with a noticeable but well-executed repair to one of the legs—a sign that someone loved this table enough to keep it going strong. It’s structurally solid and ready to use.
Features:
Original turtle-top white & grey marble with OG beveled edges
Fancy carved cabriole legs with a solid lower stretcher for strength and visual appeal
Beautifully carved Victorian base with great detail and proportion
Refinished condition with visible but professionally done leg repair
Condition Notes:
Marble does not appear to have any cracks, but there is a visible stain from what was likely a plant pot
Base is tight and sturdy
One leg has had a clean repair, noted for accuracy but not distracting
Measurements:
Width: 21 inches
Depth: 30 inches
Height: 28 inches
A charming little showpiece that brings just the right touch of Victorian elegance wherever you place it.
