We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful piece of Kittinger furniture that dates from the 1920s with the original metal tag underneath the solid walnut seat. The entire chair is solid black walnut in the original finish with a beautiful patina. It has a home plate seat as it resembles a baseball home plate, raised panel in the center with 2.5” border all around of black walnut, then it tapers into a narrow back with carved crest, bold, black walnut finial tops and a center raised panel on the back that appears to be inlaid but it paint decorated. It is a great looking chair with peg joinery. It has a bold but stylish look. The overall size is 22 inches wide on the front of the seat, 12 inches wide on the back of the seat, 18 inches deep, 50 inches high overall, 28 inches high to the arms and 17.5 inches high to the seat. There is a little bit of paint wear, but hardly noticeable. The chair is all tight and sturdy. Shipping starts at $145 if you are in our normal area and will increase in costs if not.
