SOLD Victorian Platform Rocker by Hunzinger

$145.00 (Fixed shipping cost)

Product Description

We are pleased to be offering today this Hunzinger platform barley twist rocker that dates from the 1880s era.  Hunzinger was the only manufacturer that had this patented platform spring mechanism underneath.  Normally these rockers do not have the barley twist, but Hunzinger did a lot of things different than most people.  If you are lucky the original paper label is intact under the seat, but they usually wore off.  I am not 100% sure if this is walnut or mahogany as it has the dark brown look.  It is all barley twist, honey comb finials on top, oval platform back and it is a really nice platform rocking chair by George Hunzinger.  It is easy to reupholster with basically cushions.  The overall size is 22 inches across the outside of the arms, 19 inches deep, 42 inches high to the chair back, 23 inches high to the arm and 15 inches high at its normal sitting position.  Shipping estimates starts at $145.00-$165.00 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. We can assist you in setting up shipping if needed, you would pay the shipping company direct.  Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
