We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful and hard to find tiger oak Victorian age fancy carved lift seat hall bench that dates from the 1890s. It has a fancy cut out back with a large acanthus carved leaf carving in the center that is all intact. It has a basket weave crest on top that finishes it off. There are a few pieces of dainty molding missing on the outside corners. It has cabriole legs, scroll arms, a big storage area under the lift top seat and it is all tiger sawn oak. The overall size is 46 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 43 inches high to the carving, 28 inches high to the arm and 18 inches high to the seat. The lift top seat when opens is 38 inches wide at the front, 15 deep and 6 inches high. It has plenty of room for mittens, gloves, scarves, hats and more.
