SOLD Victorian Grape Carved Arm Chair Civil War Era

$245.00 (Fixed shipping cost)

Product Description

We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful solid black walnut grape and leaf cluster gentleman’s medallion back open arm chair that dates from the 1860s to 1870s.  It is a beautiful chair with the original finish.  Someone has professional reupholstered the chair in an antique beige multi-color leaf and diamond design fabric.  The cost of the upholstery had to be dear as it is a really nice job.  The chair is solid back walnut. There is a grape and leaf cluster on the oval medallion back, carved joints where the arms go into the medallion back and carved arms goes down into cabriole legs that have castors and a swell front skirt.  The overall condition is good with one minor surface crack on the back that we will touch up prior to purchase if the buyer reminds us at the time of purchase.  The overall size is 27 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 23 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 24 inches deep, 42 inches high to the back, 24 inches high to the arm and 18 inches high to the seat.  It is a great looking chair. We do have other pieces with the same fabric if you are looking for multiple pieces. Shipping starts at $245 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.  Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are in our normal area.
