We are pleased to be offering this table that just came out of an east coast estate. This solid top 49.5 inch round empire unusual column platform pedestal split base that dates from the 1890s to 1910s. It comes with six 9" wide leaves. This table will open to approximately 104" long. This table has an unusual mechanism underneath that is like a pull cord from a lawnmower and opens/closes the table. This is a split pedestal banquet table meaning that the pedestal splits apart as you open the table to provide added strength and stability as the table elongates. We have replaced the latches underneath to hold the pedestal together when the table is closed. The table was refinished by us 15-18 years ago. It shows signs of wear and tear over the years, but it is a very usable table. You can also contact us to discuss a full restoration for the piece prior to shipping for an additional charge. It is a most unusual table with four column empire platform base that ends in a circular round foot. The castors have been replaced. It comes with six original 9" wide mahogany leaves. The table is 49.5 inches round by 29.5 inches high. The height to the bottom of the skirt is 25 inches. It is a great table. The table is a dark reddish brown mahogany stain finish with a lacquer overcoat. The finish we had done a long time ago and has held up well over the last 15-18 years but does have nicks and dings and surface marks. Shipping starts at $345 for a driveway delivery in our normal area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm your delivery area and to discuss restoration service for this table if you desire.
