We are pleased to be offering today this pair of Victorian age doors that are painted green on one side and white on the other side. Someone has removed the door knobs and left only half of the hinges on. There is a brass knob sitting on one side of the doors, but I don't believe it to be original but it could be. So, you would have to purchase a new mail slot cover, a new doorknob and find the other half of the hinges. The most exciting part is that the acid etched glasses are all original and in real nice condition. They are dome shaped. The glasses are approximately 55 inches high and 14 inches wide. We will try to light them up so that you can see the beautiful pattern. It is pretty much like a vase in fleur-de-lis on top that goes down into reverse with a bunch of other fleur-de-lis. It is all bevel and acid cut. The doors are 96 inches high and can be cut down a little bit if need be and each door panel is 28 inches wide. So the opening would be almost 5 feet wide and 8 feet tall. There doesn't appear to be too many layers of paint: maybe two coats of the green and one coat of the white, but that is just a guess. There is a place where the paint is chipped off on the white side and the doors look to be southern pine. You are getting the pair of doors for one price. Shipping starts at $265 for a driveway delivery in our normal area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are in our normal delivery area.
