We are pleased to be offering today this most stunning tiger sawn oak heavily carved pillar post claw foot serpentine front wardrobe that dates from the 1890s to 1900s. This entire piece is tiger sawn oak. I believe this has been stripped and re-stained in likely an oil based stain as it doesn’t have much of a sheen to it and it is stunning. Look at the heavily carved top crest that is approximately 12 inches high. The top crest rests upon a crown molded reverse cove top that is bevel edge with leaf carving and crowns all over. The doors are built so that they have a fancy cut away corner and multi-routed carved inside with bold carvings on each corner. The carved pillars add a lot of charm and character. It comes down into a serpentine block front dove tail double drawer base with bracket feet and tiny toe nails carved in. The only thing I see different is that someone painted the inside of the drawers a gloss white, which I am guessing was to keep out the dust and dirt out of their undergarments. It holds three shelves or we can put a hanging post on top or pretty much anything else so please ask for a quote. We do have the shelves, but the moving crew left them at the estate and we will have them prior to shipping. This cabinet will come apart for ease of moving up and down stairs. The overall size is 56 inches wide, 21 inches deep and approximately 95 inches high. The inside dimensions is 16 inches deep. This could easily be turned into a bookcase as well. It comes with a key. Shipping starts at $385 for our normal area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm the shipping for your locale as this is an estimate and the further west you the more the price can change.
