SOLD Oak Victorian Ladies Stenographer Chair

$65.00 (Fixed shipping cost)

Product Description

We are pleased to be offering today a most unusual chair.  We happened to buy two of these out of the same estate!  Lots of times these were used back in the 1890s for telephone operators, lady stenographers or for a lady at an office desk. This one has a pressed cane seat that is very unusual as it has sunken in, but has never broken. I am sure it wouldn't hold allot of pressure, but it is still intact.  The chair has the wonderful shape back that adjusts up and down and the seat adjusts up and down as well.  The chair is supported by four solid oak legs and the original castors and wheels around easily.  The overall size is 15 inches by 15 inches by 36 inches high to the back and 18 inches high to the seat as photographed.  Keep in mind that the seat and the back are adjustable to accommodate your particular height.  This has a beautiful shapely design back, which is unusual as most were simplistic.  Shipping starts at $65 for a driveway delivery in our standard area.  Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are in our standard area.
