This is the first time in my 50 years in the business that I have seen a small quarter sawn turn of the century early 1900s music stand. It has a two part lift up center, which has one section that can be lifted up to provide a shelf with two brass trim pieces to flip out to hold your sheet music or book. The whole section lifts up and is joined with two support shelves for adjustable height. There is a small work area on each side that is approximately 12 inches by 10 inches on each side. The center section is 13 inches wide by 11.5 inches deep. The overall size is 37 inches wide and 27.5 inches high. I would imagine this was designed to be sitting in a chair and it would hold your sheet music as you played a keyboard or other type of instrument. It has multi-turn posts on both sides that would remind you of a banister with a block on the bottom and a multi-turn tapered up top. Someone has put a cast brass fancy knob for some reason on each end of the stand. It is all supported with a shoe foot notch designed base. It may be the original finish. The only damage I see is on one little section of the middle where someone reached in to grab in the first shelf support and scratched it a little bit, but it is no big deal. This has to be a truly one of a kind item. Shipping starts at $65 for a driveway delivery in our normal area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are in our normal area.
