We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful banded mahogany Duncan Phyfe style banquet table with two 24 inch wide skirted leaves. It came out of a home in Massachusetts that had a lot of high quality goods in it. It was a little worse for the wear so we decided to bring it into our professional restoration shop. We stripped, hand sanded, stained in a dark reddish brown Mahogany color stain and sprayed it in multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer. The satin wood banded edge has a slight reddish hue to it and a black ebony lined and a wonderful mahogany center on the round table top. It comes with two 24 inch skirted leaves. I believe it dates from the 1950s era, but I am not really sure. It is super high quality with solid brass caps on the Duncan Phyfe feet. The table has a four legged center column pedestal, which is unusual as they are usually three legged. The column is fluted and bun carved with multiple rings of carvings and goes into four stout heavy duty legs. The last table I had like this was from the 1850s and bench made which sold for approximately $17,000. This table has the same look for a much cheaper price. The table is high quality and is a veneer top. The unusual mechanism is that the leaves lock into places. They have clip locks on them so that they lock into place and will not move around. The table itself is 76 inches long when closed deep, 4 feet deep and 29.75 inches high. When you insert the two 24 inch leaves, the table becomes 124 inches long or 10 feet 4 inches. Look at the numerous pictures to see how fabulous this table is. It will cost $425 to have this table shipped within our normal shipping area.
