We are pleased to be offering today this high quality round 54 inch mahogany banquet tables that we have had the pleasure of owning in a long time. This is a custom Victorian table dating from the 1880s to 1890s and the finish speaks for the quality of the entire piece. This is original finish paste fill and multiple coats of hand rubbed clear on top that shows minor nicks and dings, but the top comes with five 14 inch wide bench made leaves. Everything is hand done, stamped by the maker which is T. Robinson & Sons Makers of Montpelier, Vermont and it is simply unbelievable to see. The quality is amazing even to the mechanism that drops the legs down when fully open to 124 inches long. A whopping 10 FEET! In case you are looking for chairs as well, we also purchased a set of 8 custom dining chairs and a Chippendale solid Mahogany sideboard made by the same makers that we got out of the same estate, so please check and see if they are still available. The table is 54 inches round and has a recessed skirt of two inches so that you can sit right up to the table and it has a beaded edge on the base of the skirt which is 3.5 inches wide. The pedestal is a solid mahogany with the same paste fill hand rubbed finish in the dark rich luxurious color and oversize ball and claw talon feet. The table is 30.5 inches high. The leaves have a hand made rack and all the leaves are numbered. If you are looking for a quality table for an investment, than this is for you. If you want to open and put all the leaves in, it has two legs on each end that flip down with a mechanism for plenty of support. The center column does not split and is designed to stay in place. It is beautiful hand workmanship. Shipping starts at $425 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
