We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful heavily carved oak step back European cupboard that dates from the 1880s in European decent. It is a great cabinet with two carved doors on the base with fish on one side carved out of solid oak with bold type carvings and the other side has a pheasant. This is a dining room piece that is often called a hunts board. The cabinet also has carved flowers and berries going up the columns on both sides of the base with open carved leaf faces on both of the picture frame molded drawers. The base also has an acanthus carved multi molded step out base. When you open up the doors in the base, it reveals a single shelf interior. The top cabinet has leaf and berry carving going up the columns on both side, a cluster crest in the center and picture frame molded carved doors. This cabinet actually comes with a key even though we do not guarantee the locks work. The overall size is 55 inches wide on the base, 24 inches deep on the base, 38 inches high on the base, 52 inches wide on the top, 15 inches deep on the top, 59 inches high on the top and an overall height of 97 inches! It is a great cabinet that has three adjustable shelves on the top that are 11.5 inches deep. There are the normal cracks on the panels on both sides, but other than that the cabinet is in great condition.
