This is a solid black walnut gentleman's arm chair with burl walnut trim that dates from the Civil War era, 1860s – '80s. It has antique crushed velour upholstery in a wine color that is all good and useable, front and back. The wooden frame is all solid black walnut with applied burl walnut trim, incise carvings, and even little carved medallions. It has a circular seat, multi-turned legs, and carved arms with knuckles. The overall size is 24 inches across, 24 inches deep, 44 inches to the top of the carved crest, 24 inches to the arm, and 18 inches high to the seat. It's all nice and sturdy, and ready to go.
