SOLD Antique Victorian Burl Walnut Platform Rocker

Product Description

This is a most unusual Victorian platform rocker, made in New York and patented, according to the tag,  by Schrenkeisen’s Rocker, 1874-1876. This is like the Palmer-Cox rocker that was in the Exposition, so it must have been a contender against Palmer-Cox, because it has a most unusual spring mechanism and this tag. The overall rocking chair is in great condition, and it has burl walnut trim on top. The size is 21 inches wide, 25 inches deep, 41 inches high, and 17 inches to the seat. The original wood finish is good, and the fabric has been replaced at some point with an antique pink color upholstery. It’s just overall a really nice rocker. Please take a look around the rest of the site, and remember that we give a generous freight discount when you purchase multiple items. Call 1-207-314-9621 for details.  It will cost only $165 to have this rocker shipped to your home, within our normal delivery area. We also ship to all points of Canada, but please email us to get an accurate quote for your specific location.
