Take a look at this set of six matching mahogany dining chairs that were sold by the Drexel Furniture Company, well-known for its high-quality goods. This set is in the shield-back design with carved center splats, Hepplewhite spade foot legs, solid mahogany h cross stretchers, serpentine front skirts, wonderful carved detail center splats, even carved scooped out arms on the set of arm chairs. The chairs date from the 1940s, and the set consists of two arm chairs and four side chairs. Someone has recovered the seats in a striped period style fabric that looks fantastic against the dark reddish rich luxurious finish of the chairs. They appear to be all tight and sturdy, and despite some nicks and dings, they are in great condition. The overall size of the side chairs is 20 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 38 inches high to the back, and 18.5 inches high to the seat. The arm chairs are 23 inches across the arms, 18 inches deep, 38 inches high to the chair crest, and 19 inches high to the seat. You’re buying all six chairs for one price. We also have a table that would match this set.
