This is a great pair of Hepplewhite drop leaf stands from the 1950s, made by the Baker Furniture Company, as part of their Historic Charleston Collection, as indicated on the brass tag on the inside, and the silver Baker Furniture stamp. The table is mahogany, with little oval inlaid panels, dainty inlaid pinstripe of maple against the mahogany background on the oval shaped design. The tables, when closed, are 21 inches wide, 30 inches deep, and 28 inches high. When the leaves are flipped up, they are 38 inches wide. The overall condition is good. The tops have been hand stripped, sanded, color match stained and multiple coats of satin sheen moisture proof lacquer so the stands are all nice and exposes the gorgeous grains of the fine woods used. The stands have a wonderful patina. The original brass style hardware is all intact.
