We are pleased to be offering today this gorgeous Empire style mahogany
bevel edge round corner library table or flat top writing desk that dates
from the 1910s to 1920s. It is an unusual desk with a ogee bevel edge
round corner top. Look at the grains on the top! It has curved corner
sides with doors on both sides, a dove tail drawer in the center with plenty
of space, four pillars coming down into a platform base into a bun foot.
This has been refinished recently and the colors are gorgeous against the
grain. You can see that the platform on the bottom has a veneer stretch
which is where the wood underneath the veneer has shrunk so the top show a
bit of a crack where they dowel it in. You have to look close to see it and
it adds a lot of charm and character to the desk. It has all the original
hardware and the key. The overall size is 50 inches wide, 31 inches deep
and 30 inches high. The height of the bottom shelf is approximately 6
inches from the floor. The size of the middle drawer is 32 inches wide and
4 inches high. The space for your legs is 24 inches high from the floor.
This desk has ample space with the two deep storage spaces behind the doors
and the extra large center drawer. Shipping for a driveway delivery starts
at $325 for our normal area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm
that you are within our normal area. Don't forget to check our other
