SOLD Antique Early Sheraton Canopy Bed Full Size *REDUCED PRICE*

We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful rope twisted maple canopy bed that someone has adapted to take a modern day box spring and mattress, which is  54 x 75 inches.  They have also made it so that the box spring sits down inside the bed so that you do not get the tremendously high bed to climb into at night.  They have changed the cross stretchers so that the bed is stretched out.  The shield has been replaced to accommodate the adaptation and they have made four big type finials on top and someone has made a bowed fold up curved canopy out of simple pine which does not accommodate the finials.  So you can either use the bed with the canopy or you can use it as a poster bed with the finials.  It has been refinished a long time ago.  The overall size is 60 inches wide on the outside, 72 inches high on the posts, 83 inches high to the top of the canopy.  A great looking bed that has traces of the old paint color from the 1850s.  It was very expensive to have the bed adapted, so be glad the previous owner did it for you.  Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.  Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are within our normal area.
