This is a wonderful set of four solid oak carved dining chairs that date from the 1890s to 1900s and came out of an estate in New York. They are high quality and sometimes people call them Horner style because of the quality, but we are just selling a nice quality set of four chairs. Consisting of one carved arm chair and three carved side chairs, they have their original upholstery. The overall condition of the wood is good, but the fabric is a little worn out.The frames are all original solid oak, quarter sawn, with a carved crest across the top, carvings across the fronts of the legs, solid oak cross stretchers, and are in really nice original condition. The overall size of the arm chairs is 23 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 41 inches high, 29 inches to the top of the arm and 20 inches high to the seat. Each side chair is 19 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 31 inches high to the top of the chair, and 19 inches high to the seat. This is a good looking set. We have had this set of chairs two or three different times and look fabulous in leather. The chairs are fairly tight and sturdy, but when they get reupholstered they would likely be re-glued.
