We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful little model of a cherry Eastlake style display cabinet with etagere shelves and triple bevel glass mirrors on the detail back. It has a large bevel glass plate glass door is the center focal point with a display area for a tall vase. The cabinet was made back in the 1880s by the Maxwell Furniture Company out of Massachusetts according to the tag on the back. The cabinet Eastlake incise carving across the top of the crest, multi-molded bevel edges across the top that comes down into a rope turn tapered post with a spindle gallery. Both wings on the back are applied carvings that are all intact with just a tiny piece missing on the top. The bevel glass mirror shows some age with the silver being worn a bit. The front is adorned with multi-turn spindles, applied crests, spool turn posts, multi-line moldings and two rectangular bevel glass mirrors. There is a triple shelf area going down both sides to the fancy cut out base. The overall size is 35 inches wide, 13 inches deep and approximately 53 inches high. The height to the three shelves going down the sides are 36 inches high, 19 inches high and 5 inches high from the floor. The center unit where the display door is in 16 inches wide by 18 inches high. It is a beautiful cherry stained piece that is in good condition.
