We are pleased to be offering today a most unusual set of 9 formal oak dining chairs and after 50 years in the business I have never had this model before. They originally all had press cane seats. Over the years the previous owners have replaced the cane seats in 1 arm chair and 5 side chairs with a wooden insert panel. It looks nice against the original finish. The cane on the arm chair is all good. The two side chairs have some holes in the press cane. The chairs can be all press caned again at a reasonable cost or some people put a padded upholstered seat on them. We would be happy to provide a quote to correct the seats for the buyer if they so desire. They are a great set of chairs that have shapely cut out arms that are all bevel edge. They have a bevel edge multi-molded shapely seat, Eastlake style front skirts that are incise carved, cabriole style legs, unique curved back with a carving on the splat and the back splats are really nice. The base has a solid H cross stretcher for stylish and sturdiness. They are in the old original finish in the varnish finish. The arm chairs are 21 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 43 inches high to the back, 27 inches high to the arms and 19 inches high to the seat. The seven side chairs are 17 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 41 inches high to the chair back and 18 inches high to the seat. You are getting all nine chairs for one money. The chairs are good original in the old varnish finish. Shipping starts at $295 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
