We are pleased to be offering today this burl walnut double bevel glass door wardrobe of European origin that probably dates from the turn of the century (1890s to 1900s). It is an art nouveau style with the carving. It has two bevel glass burl raised panel decorated doors with rectangular bevel glass mirrors that are original and intact. It has real nice carved crest on top, two deep burl drawers on the base and panel sides. This wardrobe has some issues as it would normally be a $1600 wardrobe. If you look at the pictures you can see the left door just doesn’t line up perfectly, which really irritates me. The door opens and closes fine though. The wardrobe comes apart with the crest off the top, the two doors and the base with the two deep drawers so it can be easily moved to the second floor. It has a copper style hardware handle with one of the backplates being different, but very similar. We have tightened it up, glued it up, put the round dowel rod in the center of the base to make sure it sits level and it is ready to go into the home. The overall size is 58 inches wide, 19 inches deep and approximately 89 inches tall. The drawers in the base are 24 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 9 inches high. The inside has hanging hooks on top and someone has put metal adjustable shelves on that hold the four shelves in place (two shelves on each side). Each open compartment is approximately 26 inches wide by 16 inches deep by 52 inches high. It is a good looking wardrobe that had issues over the years, but we have corrected a lot of them. Shipping starts at $345 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
