We are pleased to be offering today this tiger sawn oak turn of the century claw foot with detail lion heads on the arm Morris chair that dates from the 1890s to 1900s era. It came right out of a home on the east coast. They threw the cushions away, which is normal. They lost the original rod or they adapted the original rod in the back. The Morris chair has four different adjustments on the back. This chair is all tiger sawn oak, it has thick barley twist spindles on the sides to hold up the heavy bold carved arms with lion heads that has detail wings and a mane on top and it scrolls down into a shapely cutout front leg into a paw foot. There is a small piece of the claw missing on one side, but we can fix it if the buyer so desires prior to shipping. It is in a dark oak stain finish. The overall size is 29 inches wide, 29 inches deep, 25 inches high to the arm and 40 inches high when the back is in the upright position. It is a great looking chair. Shipping starts at $225 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
