We are pleased to be offering today this one of a kind bench made, which means it was made one complete item at a time not an assembly line like today, solid mahogany swell front ball and claw cabriole leg sideboard that dates around the 1880s to 1890s. It came with a unbelievable banquet table and a set of eight hand made custom Chippendale ball and claw chairs all hand made and finish by the T. Robinson & Sons - Makers of Montpelier, Vermont . We are selling the three pieces separate, so please check with us if the other pieces are still available. The sideboard has the original finish, Chippendale hardware, hand cut dovetail, carved cabriole legs and the weight is astounding. Two of the legs have been repaired where someone tried to drag it at one point. We have fixed, repaired and colored the legs so that you wouldn’t tell and they are all sturdy. The interesting story is that someone lost the keys to the piece long long time ago and someone went in and broke into every drawer and door. You can see where there is an early repair from the incident. The left hand door has no lock, but the rest of them have locks and we have the keys for you. The sideboard is stout and sturdy being 66 inches wide, 22 inches deep, approximately 40 inches high to the cabinet itself, 2.5 inches high on the backsplash and 42.5 inches high to the top of the backsplash. It has solid plank sides, solid back boards, dust covers between all the drawers and is a high quality sideboard. The left hand side as you face the sideboard, has a crack going through the middle of the side. The two center drawers are curved front. The outside drawers are reverse curved like the doors. It is a great piece. Shipping starts at $385 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping. Don’t forget if you are looking for a set to check with us on the other pieces that came with this one of a kind buffet.
