We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful flame mahogany raised panel base front with gadroon molded edge step back four door extra wide bubble glass breakfront butlers desk that dates from the 1940s and was made by the Mason Furniture Company out of Fall River and New Bedford, Massachusetts. They have a genuine mahogany association label on the inside, which was only given to the better manufacturers and their number was 444. The label states that all components used were solid mahogany. The nice thing about this cabinet is that is 72 inches wide, 15.5 inches deep on the outside of the base cabinet, 17.5 inches deep in the center of the base, the height of the base is 34.5 inches high and the overall height is 6 foot 11 inches (83 inches). This is a two piece cabinet. Each bubble glass section on top has solid mahogany grill work and holds 3 plate grooved shelves. The side sections are approximately 9 inches deep and the center section is approximately 11 inches deep. It has a butlers desk, which comes from when the butler would keep all his paperwork in the center section drawer for the masters in the dining room. This cabinet has flame mahogany raised panel doors on the base. IT has multiple bevel edges on top of the cabinet and crown molding with flame mahogany faces.
